15 miles on the Erie Canal: A Biking Cache Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

ChileHead: I'm not likely getting out anytime soon to fix this. Sadly, I'll be archiving though I hope to put out another longer bike cache later this summer.

When my wife and I started dating, the thing we did most was bike (no comments please.) Most weekends would have us doing at least 150 miles, and it seemed we usually planned to do all those miles in the rain. Of course, this was pre-kids, and pre-geocaching. During the summer when we are kid free, we usually spend the day biking - I usually sneak a geocache in too.

One of my favorite caches I placed was "Bike 104". I set it up hoping that most people would bike it rather than walk it. I'm not sure how much I succeeded on that.

Well - this one you really have to bike. Of course, you could walk it, but you'd end up walking many, many miles. I've tried to place the waypoints such that there isn't easy access to them from spots to park along the way. You're more than welcome to hike this or drive, but I think you'll have a better time on a bike.

All the waypoints should be fairly easy finds. Most are wheely-style metal tags.

Ice cream card for the FTF!

This is the 100th ChileHead cache.
