Geocache Description:

Behold! One has come to claim the kingship again at last.

Here is Aragorn son of Arathorn, chieftain of the Dúnedain of Arnor, captain of the Host of the West, bearer of the Star of the North, wielder of the Sword Reforged, victorious in battle, whose hands bring healing, the Elfstone, Elessar of the line of Valandil, Isildur’s son, Elendil’s son of Númenor…"

As spoken by Faramir, Last Steward of Gondor in Book Six of “The Lord of the Rings” by J. R. R. Tolkien.

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE COORDINATES -- THIS IS A PUZZLE CACHE -- THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE COORDINATES!!!!

This is the FINAL cache in the Texas Dreamweaver Middle Earth series. I could have named this cache Aragorn, Elessar. Isildur's Heir, King of the West or Chieftain of the Dúnedain, but STRIDER is much more appropriate.

Put on you boots and fill up your gas tanks....The Journey of STRIDER is all about the distance. You do not have to speak orc or read elvish. A good Fort Bend/ Sugar Land map and a copy of the book "The Lord of the Rings" by J. R. R. Tolkien will be of more use in finding this cache.

You will be visiting 8 caches in Middle Earth (Sugar Land) that represent 8 locations visited by Aragorn on his trek to the throne. The clues at these waypoints will provide you with your final coordinates. All caches including the final are within the Sugar Land ETJ (Extra Territorial Jurisdiction). Some of these waypoints will require
more imagination than others, but if you don’t get the resemblance it won’t matter.

The CLUE CACHES are titled Strider’s Clue Cache #1, #2 and so on thru #8 OR Strider's REPLACEMENT Clue Cache. To get to the final cache, you must visit each of these caches. You may "hunt" them in order that you wish. Inside each cache container you will find a name and a single digit number. The name will be a mythical place from the book "The Lord of the Rings". The location that you are currently at should resemble that place in some manner.

Write down the mythical place and its corresponding number. Don’t forget to sign the log! Upon completing all 8 caches, list the locations in the order that Aragorn visited them during his journey. This will give you the correct order for the 8 corresponding numbers. Simply put the first number in place of the first X and so on until you have the coordinates for the this cache.

N 29° 3X.XXX W 095° 3X.XXX

CONGRATULATIONS TO GRANGERFAM FOR FTF (4-22-06). See the logs for all of the Clue Caches but this team had some fun times including fierce competition, running into offical orcs, defeating wild beasts and overcoming evil magic. As a reward for completing this arduous journey, GrangerFam earned a 1/5 size replica of Strider’s sword as well as an "action figure” of Aragorn. The rest of you don’t forget to bring your own pen!!!

This is the Final Cache in the Texas Dreamweaver Middle Earth series . Other Caches in the series are --- The Fall of Boromir at Nen Hithoel (GCT8Q1), Halls of Moria (GCTN32), and Samwise Gamgee (GCTVJ4)
