Geocache Description:

The above location is not for the cache, but Christ’s Hospital Rail Station, which is the nearest one to where the cache is hidden, but not the nearest one to the inventor!

It is possible to complete this cache without visiting any preliminary locations, as all the information is available somewhere on the web. If you do manage to find it all online, please take time to visit the locations concerned as they are interesting, free, and can easily be seen in half a day.

This is the second cache in the tribute series to "’X’ Marks The Spot" by purple_pineapple, and is entirely borne out of the research I did for that cache, and I would recommend it to everyone as a must do cache. There is a link to it, and others in this series, at the bottom of the page.

The inventor died and is buried in Surrey.

There is a micro hidden at:

N51º    |\/||  |/\||  |||/\  |/|\|  ||\/|  \|/||  ||\/|  |\/||  /|\||  |/|\|  ||\/|  \|/||  |/|\|  |/\||  \||/|  /|\||

W00º   ||\|/  |\||/  ||\/|  |/|\|  |/\||  \||/|  /|\||  |\/||  |/\||  |||/\  |\|/|  /|\||  \||/|  /|\||  |\/||  ||\|/  |\||/  ||\/|

I have had to use a bit of artistic license with the above puzzle, but this will not stop you from working out the coordinates. I’m sure you will see what I mean when you’ve solved it!

Inside the micro there is a question and another puzzle. When solved, it will give you the coordinates of the cache, however I’m afraid it’s not as easy as all that.

In order to solve the micro puzzle, you will need to do some more research, and find someone else that lived and died in the same place as the inventor, but a lot further back in time. For ease of reference, let’s call this other person "H", which is not one of their initials. Legend has it that H owned something, which was borrowed but never returned. Whether or not the story is true, the item can still be seen today in a village not far from where H and the inventor lived.

Before heading off to the micro, make sure you can answer the following questions:

1. What is the name of the village, where the item can be seen today?

2. What material is the item made of?

3. How wide, in inches, is the item?

4. How deep, in inches, is the item?

Feel free to confirm your answers with me before setting out, and I may even offer a cryptic clue, or two, to those in need. Nannies are nice!
Good luck and I hope you have as much fun as I did setting this one.
