This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Camo'ed micro located near a former rural school near Livermore.

Founded in 1870, Inman School was one of the original elementary schools in the Livermore Valley. In 1891, trustees from Inman School joined trustees from the Livermore, Vista, Mocho, Townsend, May, Harris, Summit, and Green Districts for the formation of the “Livermore Union High School Number 1,” the first public union high school in the State of California. Inman School existed until c. 1970 when it was demolished. Today, only asphalt blacktop and the foundations remain from this forgotten yet historic school located in an fenced-off eucalyptus grove east of the cache site.
