It is a nice walk less than 1 km thru sandy desert. To reach the cache you may need to climb, but not very high. Be cautious! Due the sand and rocks you are not able to reach this cache by wheels. The terrain is though very easy to walk. The original container was a film canister, but is now upgraded to a regular Rubbermaid style plastic box. You can leave your car next to 19 Km sign post on FV-1, on coordinates N 28°39.841´ W 013°49.988´. Do not forget to take some water with you. After cache hunting you can go to swim at the nice Playa Alzada beach. Since I am not living on Fuerteventura, I am not able to maintain the cache very frequently. So please, bring your own pen just in case. Please let me know if there is any problems. I hope you enjoy this place as much I did.
Dear fellow Geocahers, the cache needs maintenance. The box is missing lid, so it would be super nice if you could bring new mid size box. Due all these restrictions, I am not able to do the maintenance myself now. Please take some notepaper and pens with you also and leave in the cache. Thank you!
