The cache is placed close to the Castle of Vargesztes. It is placed in a hole.
You can get to the parking place under the castle by car, if you take a right turn at Vargesztes at the coordinates: N 47 28.339 and E 018 23.887.
The Castle of Vargesztes has a history of 700 years. Gesztes used to be land of the Csáks in the XIII. century. The castle was built after the Tatars left Hungary. After Csak Mate's death it used to be a royal castle and belonged to King Zsigmond's and her wife, Mary and Prince Albert.
At the times of the Hunyadis it was in pawn at the Rozgonyis and the Ujlakis.
In the turn of the 15th and the 16th century it was owned by many different families. Since 1598 it belongs to Hungarian notabilities.
There is a coffe bar at the bottom of the castle. After the end of April it is open every day from 8 am to 10 pm. In the wintertime it is only open at the weekends.
You can visit the roof of the castle for 100 HUF. It worths to go up, because of the beautiful scenery.
