[EN] Given coordinates will bring you before the
Gynecology-obstetric clinic of 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles
University. The construction of then "Zemska porodnice" (Land
maternity) was initiated by count Frantisek Thun-Hohejnstejn. The
project creation was assigned to Czech architect Josef Hlavka
(1831-1908), who studied all the available medical documentation
about obstetrics, so the project and the realisation would satisfy
the requirements to full extent. To date this building is
considered as one of the best neogotic structures in the Czech
Republic and experts on medical buildings, architects and even the
medical historians admire the sophisticated solution of the
structure in light of its purpose. (source www.apolinar.cz)
Herefrom we will go through the beautiful and above all the
quiet part of Nove Mesto (New City) down to Albertov. By the way of
hundreds of stairs and around many institutes and buildings of
various faculties of Charles University. Finally u can visit nearby
Police Museum or the Church of Our Lady and St. Charles the Great
on Karlov.
Thanks goes to Millu, Dorcadion team and Mala Havranice for
emphasizing that's it's not recommended to visit the cache alone
during night and warm days, because of the high probability of
meeting "strange individuals" =)
Jak cache ulovit / How to get the cache?
[CZ] K odloveni teto kese (cca 20minut) se budete muset
vypravit spocitat oboje "male" (M) i "velke" (V)
albertovske schody (viz Waypointy). Pokud vlozite ziskana cisla do
teto rovnice, tak ziskate skutecne koordinaty teto cache.
N50° 04.(34 * M - 46 * V)' E014° 25.(14 * M - 14 *
V)'
Na finalnich souradnicich hledejte stribrnou cigartasku. Je to
sice micro, ale nejaky ten geocoin by se do ni mohl vejit =))
Upozorneni: Na velkych albertovskych schodech (predevsim v
dolnich partiich) muzete narazit na "pseudo-schody" z betonu - ty
se do nasich rovnic nezapocitavaji =) Pro kontrolu vezte, ze
ciferny soucet u M je 11 a u V je 4.
[EN] To get this cache (approx. 20 minutes) you will have to
count both - the "small" (M) and "big" albertov (V)
stairs (see Waypoints section). Insert these numbers into following
equation and you will get the coordinates of the cache.
N50° 04.(34 * M - 46 * V)' E014° 25.(14 * M - 14 *
V)'
On the final location look for silver thin cigarette box. The
cache is a micro, but some geocoin could slip in.
Warning: On the "big" albertov stairs (especially in the lower
parts) you can find "pseudo-stairs" from concrete - these should
NOT be counted. For your convenience make sure that the sum of all
numbers in M is 11 and V is 4.
