Geocache Description:

HOOYAH!” is a 3-stage multi-cache located on the Townsend Trail at Lake Townsend in NE Guilford County. Originally placed by the nefarious Darth Sketcher back in 2006, this one served as a companion of sorts to his “SEAL Qualification Training (SQT)” (GC1DHDF), which — happily — remains active all these years after Sketcher’s retirement from geocaching. Thanks to Robgso for keeping this one in good condition for the past few years. Be prepared for a lengthy hike and some challenging terrain; the D/T ratings are what they are for good reason. Sadly, the original logbook, which had survived until relatively recently, has at long last succumbed to the elements (see image above).

Once I agreed to adopt this cache, both Robgso and I went out and verified that coordinates are very good at each stage. Please be sure to close all containers securely and replace them exactly as found. Watch out for local wildlife, poison ivy, briers, water hazards, and other potential dangers, natural and otherwise. Have fun, and mind you don’t die out there, as you may find it inconvenient.
