Pardubicko – Liberecka draha, budovana i se svoji odbockou
z Jaromere do Svatonovic od zari 1856 do kvetna 1859, byla puvodne
projektována jako spojovaci draha zasadni dulezitosti,
majici za ucel umoznit rychlou dopravu mezi severozapadni a
jihovychodni casti Evropy. Nová draha byla prirovnavana,
zejmena v nekterych usecich, k Semmeringské draze. Jeji
provedeni si vyzadalo neobycejneho mnozstvi nakladnych a technicky
vysoce obtiznych zeleznicnich staveb, at již to byly tunely,
prukopy a zarezy do pudy a skal, obrovské naspy, ci mosty,
prejezdy a viadukty.
K nejvyznacnejsim stavbam, ktere se na teto draze pred vice nez
stoletim budovaly a zaroven k nejpozoruhodnejsim architekturam v
starsim obdobi budování zeleznic v nasich zemich,
patri viadukt pres udolí Mohelky u zamku Sychrov. A prave k

Railway from Pardubice to Liberec was build during the period
from September 1856 to May 1859. Original purpose was to
interconnect rails coming from northwest to southeast of Europe.
New railway is often compared to Semmering railway, mostly due to
it's technological maturity and building difficulty. It required
lots of railway constructions such as tunnels, trenches and
set-offs - both in clay and stone, huge embankments, bridges and
viaducts.
One of the most interesting constructions on this railway it
Sychrov viaduct which goes of the Mohelka river. Our cache is meant
