Dancin' 'Disco' Jack, Captain of the Pirate Ship 'Funky Town' was in a foul mood...

He'd been out drinking, looting and pillaging along the New Brighton and West Kirby coastline all morning, and had managed to make off with some nice chunky gold medallions, a few Bee Gee's CD's, and a fair haul of cash from the wealthy locals. Now he was back safely inland at Thornton Hough, the location of 'Jack's Disco', his top secret pirate hideaway.

On his way back he'd sailed up the estuary, anchored the Funky Town alongside a beacon there, and made his way to shore in one of the ship's rowboats. He'd found a great place to stash his booty, and like all good and clever pirates he'd made a treasure map to lead him back to it again later. He'd also made sure to make a quick note of where he'd left the Funky Town as well... just in case y'know - after all, he was a bit worse for wear after all the cocktails he'd been knocking back!

His problem now was, because he'd been on the grog since before breakfast, he'd woken up after his afternoon snooze to find his head all fuzzy and his mind gone blank. The map had made perfect sense to him when he'd drawn it up in his drunken state that morning, but now... well... now he'd been staring at it for over an hour and couldn't even begin to make head nor tail of it! He could only remember two things for sure - the first was that judging by the state of his shoes it could obviously get fairly muddy on the way - thank Abba he'd worn his platforms or the bottoms of his favourite flares would have been ruined! The second was that the treasure was behind a wall (that's *behind* and not *in* a wall - even pirates weren't naughty enough to go round dismantling dry stone walls)!

He was reaching his wits end and was getting more desperate by the minute to get his greedy mitts back on his treasure. You see, when he'd woken up he'd found a flyer on his doormat for a new 'Pirate Clothing & Accessories Emporium' that had opened on the high street in Neston. There on the front was a simply gorgeous, one of a kind, gold trimmed bandana that he'd instantly fallen in love with. He wanted... no... correct that - he *needed* it! He already had a sparkly waist sash in a similar style, and the bandana would go just great together with that and the chunky diamonique earring he'd bought recently from QVC. With that combination he was really gonna turn heads when he strutted his stuff next week at the Willaston Pirate Disco.

However, Jack knew all too well that his arch nemesis, Barry 'Glitterballs' McFunk would have his eye on the bandana too. Yeah right, like that fool could ever even hope to pull off wearing it - the guy danced like his head was on elastic. A fine bandana such as that would be properly modelled and given the respect it deserved with some stylish and modern robotic dance moves. Smooth!

Jack knew he had to find his treasure and get to the shops before Barry, or he'd never be able to accessorize properly for the disco. He'd end up looking far too drab to catch the eye of all the saucy young wenches on the dancefloor. Yes sir, he could boogie alright - but he needed that certain bling!

He needed help - and fast!

Can you can help Jack solve the puzzle of his treasure map and find his booty... he'll cut you in on a share of the loot if you can...

And if you're really lucky, he may have a spare ticket for the disco...

Arrr!
