Enjoy the views over to the longest single waterfall drop in Australia.
Wallaman falls, at around 338m, holds the title of the having the longest single drop of any waterfall in Australia(268m). This hidden treasure of the North is worth exploring, as it is only 1/2 hour from Ingham via good dirt roads and a scenic windy bitumen road to gain the associated altitude.
Once at the parking area, the choices are various, ranging from having a great picnic at the facilities, taking some photos (with the chance of maybe catching a basejumper landing on the rocks below!), a gentle stroll to a cache, or an energetic stroll to the bottom of the gorge. The gorge walk should not be undertaken if unfit or with children, as the trail has no guardrails, and the last step is a Doozy.
Cache should be easy to locate, with good reception available. Please do not carve a highway to the cache and destroy the environment. Contents include the usual goodies and some special swaps for the first couple of cachers.
FTF reward (if they want) includes collecting a Geocoin to travel further, and a great 4wd travelling book to read. Please trade fair, or trade up.
