Geocache Description:

At the posted coordinates you are standing on a tract of land once known as " Prescott's Island ". The island was formed when the Des Plaines river split into two channels, (prior to the Metropolitan Sanitary District re-channeling the river). The split started south of Laughton's Ford and re-joined at the mouth to Portage Creek ( Wall's Meander). It is at the center of this island that during prohibition days a speak easy named " The Blind Pig " was located. You are searching for a small cache with trade items. PLEASE CITO and enjoy the history and area. Please visit: (visit link) For more Info.
