Eclectic: I no longer live in Yellowknife, and it would seem that the cache has come to the end of its 14 year run. Muggled, soaking wet, ruined, and hauled away as trash. What do you do when you are lost? Climb to the highest point in the area in order to have a look around.
This cache is located on the branch of the Frame Lake Trail which goes out to the Bristol Monument. It is on the highest point of the trail from which you can see the Yellowknife cemetary and airport, the hospital and the Con mine shaft, Frame Lake and downtown, and Jackfish Lake and the intersection of highways 3 and 4.
In keeping with the "lost" theme, which you do not have to follow when exchanging items, I have left the following original items;
-compass
-whistle and mirror so you can signal for help
-an unarmed mouse trap so you can catch your own food in order to survive
-a magnifying glass so you can start a fire to attract attention or cook the mice
-ear plugs so the mosquito buzzing does not drive you nuts
-an eye glass repair kit, in case that is why you are lost
-maps, including one of Central America, in case you are really lost
-and a Buddha, in case you are only lost metaphorically speaking
