Perhaps one of the best overlooks in all of Redding, a true hikers delight. This is a no nonsense, gimmicks, puzzle, projections, calcs, googling etc., cache, just good old fashioned straight forward basic geocaching. A non typical Zurcher set-up.
Imagine, above coordinates are the actual cache location, yes really, just dial in and go. Take along food, drink and camera, as this is a classic example of being shown another “gem” of nature…..two great overlooks And a final picnic site with view toward the south west and Long Island Sound. Parking is just off Topstone Road, [ gravel surface ] at: 41 18.234 / 73 26.163 and to make it even more easy, look at the Letterbox listing for: “TOPSTONE PARK SERIES”. Cache is very near the “Photo Op” Letterbox. Actually, if you’ve found it, the Letterbox, you are very close! Don’t get mixed up, make sure it’s a geocache, a 3x5 inch tupperware. Don’t give up. As, I do confess, the physical hiding method is a bit “Zurcherish”. Please re-hide exactly, the hopefully obvious, same way you found it. Note: take the Stuart Chase Long View trail [ white blaze with thin vertical blue stripe ] to get up and down the hill.
