Geocache Description:

This cache is one of three placed in recognition of TOHiker reaching 1,000 finds. The best way to find all three caches is to park at the south end of Wendy Road and take the trail past the old windmill to Old Boney Trail. Stay on Old Boney Trail when reaching the signed turnoff for the Old Cabin Site and continue to a side trail at 3.05 Garmin miles from the Wendy Trailhead, at N34* 08.115 W118* 57.313. Accumulated ascent will be 1,250 feet. Take the upper trail to the survey marker for Hill 1918 at N34* 08.083 W118* 57.365 and follow the trail to the next cache. The trail is very steep in places and will require using your hands to pull yourself up. Quite a bit of poison oak is appearing along the trail. Be careful not to use it to pull yourself up. At times there are some rock scrambles. Hiking poles will only get in your way once you leave Old Boney Trail.

Higher up you can confirm that you are on the trail by noticing old, fading arrows painted on the rock surface by some ancient tribe (Boy Scouts?).
This cache is hidden where the trail crests (at one point). Go up to the east less than 10 feet off the trail. The cache is behind a rock at the base of a large outcrop, about 5 feet from a climber’s bolt. It is on the right side of the gunsight looking east. Keep going, it gets even better.
