Geocache Description:

My third cache of the series in the Dorking area -- this time it's a pictorial puzzle cache.

I've made this cache a little easier but, as it was originally at least a 6-star difficulty (according to all who have tried it), it is still worth 5 stars.

This cache can be solved completely from the comfort of your own home/computer.

The coordinates given are for a local car park. In a nearby and appropriately named street, you can find an interesting item, which we will call A.

Next you need to solve the first cryptic picture clue, which can be downloaded from the following webpage. The solution is a person called B.

Picture clue to person B

Initially this clue may leave you drawing a blank, but when you put it all together I hope you'll howl (or more likely just chuckle) with laughter.

To help you solve the identity of person B, there is a trio of (even more?) cryptic picture clues. These can be viewed at the following link:-

More clues to person B

Finally, you need to do some research to find a close link between item A in the street and person B (the solution to the first picture clue). Armed with this link you should be able to work out a straightforward way to decode the final set of pictorial clues, and so work out the final coordinates.

These final picture clues can be viewed here:-

The final picture clues to the coords

The link that you are seeking is composed of several parts and you will need to use these parts in order to achieve the required decoding.

When you are ready to find the cache, I suggest you park at Dorking West railway station (N 51 14.169 W 000 20.393), where there is a small free parking area. There is usually space here, especially at weekends. Before setting out for the final assault, the pub near the station (“The Pilgrim”) might be a good spot for lunch or a drink while mulling things over.

Then go to the Pilgrim’s Way trackway nearby at N 51 14.276 W 000 20.323. You will need to follow this pleasant, scenic route a fair way to find the cache.

Please don’t write anything in the logs, however cryptic, that may give away part of this puzzle.
