Another small cache hidden in the parking area of the highest lookout point in the Addo Elephant National Park – it can take small goodies for trade (1l container).
Zuurkop is the highest point in the Addo Elephant National Park in the Eastern Cape Province. The Addo Park is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the Eastern Cape and one can view the big seven in the park: elephant, buffalo, lion, rhino, leopard, great white shark and the blue whale. The park is also home to the indigenous flightless dug beetle – and several road signs remind motorists to yield to beetles crossing the road.
An overnight stay in the Park is recommended – the cache is merely one of the attractions. Game drives and game viewing will get you hooked on a special place in our country. Beware of lions when you get out of the car at your own risk in the designated parking area as it is not fenced of from the game area. An entrance fee to the park is payable – owners of a Wildcard enter free – but pay for overnight accommodation.
