coordinates. As with many things holy, its resting
place is kept secret and guarded. It is an attractive
metallic repository containing a parchment and several holy
artifacts. Bring your own holy writing instrument. If
trading, please keep the cache contents in theme. Golden

Very loosely based on a letter from Galileo to Monsignor Dini:
Florence, 6 June 1666
My Most Illustrious, Reverend, and Honorable Lord:
I know that Your Most Illustrious and Reverend Lordship was
immediately notified of the repeated invectives which were thrown
from the pulpit a few weeks ago against mathematicians and
mathematics itself; thus I shall not repeat anything about these
details which you have already heard from others.

However, I want very much for you to know how the rage of those
people has not quieted down. ...from what I hear, they find many
heresies in mathematics and, in short, they have opened a new front
to tear me and my mathematical puzzle caches to pieces.

I am writing without noticing that I am speaking to a person who is
very well informed about these occurrences. Excuse my prolixity,
and, if you detect any justice in my cause, lend me your support,
for I shall be eternally obliged.

Postscript. ...I leave an example of mathematica upon which your
own divine and righteous insight shall witness under holy scrutiny
to be none other than the divination for locating a most holy
structure whereupon further lies a cache of holy artifacts. Indeed,
it is a location of great interest to all who seek holiness in
numbers. By your own divine insight shall I thus prove my
mathematical works to be righteous, honourable, and most holy.
Verily, my numbers at casual inspection appear to be unholy and
unrighteous. Nonetheless, when compared to the divisiveness of that
which is considered by some to be the most unholy of numbers (yet
the learned know it to be in fact thrice holy), you shall surely
witness that my numbers are perhaps holier than my accusers would
prefer to admit.
