Morse Code Multi Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

G.O. John and Carol: Since Spike's cache had to be archived and because there seems to be no interest in this cache, I'm archiving it.

Thanks to those who visited.

Geocache Description:

You won't have to get out of your car for stage 1. Pay attention to the suggested parking for stage 2!

There's another local cache that uses Morse code in a different way, but the idea for this came from a cache that we did in Iowa quite a while ago. (GCMTKQ)

You'll need to get in the general vicinity of the posted coordinates and tune an FM radio to approximately 87.7MHz. You'll hear the coordinates to stage 2 being transmitted in Morse code. There are 16 characters transmitted in about 90 seconds, so it should be very easy to translate with just a little onsite or online practice. No decimal points are used.

Here's what you'll need to know...

N = _ .
W = . _ _
1 = . _ _ _ _
2 = . . _ _ _
3 = . . . _ _
4 = . . . . _
5 = . . . . .
6 = _ . . . .
7 = _ _ . . .
8 = _ _ _ . .
9 = _ _ _ _ .
0 = _ _ _ _ _

You can use this site for practice.

The transmission loops, and and you'll also hear my other broadcast cache called " Spike O'Dell's Other Radio Gig".

If you need help, or if you just want to say "hi", ring the bell on the single story house. We'd love to meet you!

Stage 2 is a small Lock and Lock container hidden in a typical way. It contains a few trading items, a log book and pencils. It's less than 3 miles from stage 1.

Have fun!
