A nice day-excursion geocache, located in the Canterbury foothills.
It will pay to check the location of this cache on a map before
attempting. There's a couple of ways to get to the spot - we
enjoyed the loop-track and its views on the day we placed it.
The Cache
The cache itself is a 500ml lock-n-lock style, fully sealed
container. There is only room for very small trades - it's probably
best to treat this as a logbook only cache. You may end up digging
for this cache if attempting in winter time! Coordinates were
averaged over 150 readings, ~3m accuracy.
Disclaimer
This cache is set in an alpine environment that is prone to weather
changes at any time. Please ensure you plan for this when
attempting this cache. ie. think about what clothing, footwear,
food, water, first aid and maps you need to bring. The cache itself
is set away from the track so if muggles are present, you should be
able to skive off in confidence to find it. Please be mindful of
the delicate alpine flora when getting to the cache.
