Geocache Description:

The Cache is not at the posted coordinates.  The cache is within a 2.5 mile radius of the posted coordinates.  No need to trespass.

Back in the day, I used to read "Choose your own adventure" books.  Perhaps you remember these stories, in which YOU were the main character (an elf, or a troll, etc).  As the reader, you would be faced with a decision every few pages.  Sometimes, your decisions would result in a fairy tale ending; other times, your choices would lead to your death. Like the choose your own adventure books, this cache has been placed to let YOU decide where it is!

But it won't be so easy.  In any adventure, there must be some strife.  You're going to have to do some work before you reach your fairy tale ending.  Have a fun adventure along the way!  Bring your own pen; this is a sign only micro.

Prior to the muggle, the coordinates were in a logical order (A,B,C,D,E,F... etc) Since the cache has been relocated, the cache coordinates are in the following format:

NORTH 37° AM.DEL WEST 122° CG.KLA

Legal Parking with the shortest safe walk (about 0.15 miles) is at the following location:

NORTH 37° AM.DKM WEST 122° FM.DDK

Step 1:

  1. Pick ANY number from 1 to 6.
  2. Multiply your selected number by the number 999,999
  3. Divide this result by 7
  4. Take the digits of the result and rearrange them lowest (left) to highest (right)
  5. The digits now correspond to the following letters:
    K A B L I J

Step 2:

  1. Pick ANY number from 1 through 100
  2. Write down the name of your chosen number
  3. Count the number of letters in the name of your number to obtain a second number.
  4. Count the number of letters in the second number to obtain a third  number.
  5. Count the number of letters in the third number to obtain a fourth number.
  6. Keep doing this for a while until you get really bored.
  7. The number that you finally stop on corresponds to G

Step 3:

  1. Write down your 7 digit phone number (Works best for USA residents - others may select 7 random digits).
  2. Write down the number 8.
  3. Multiply your 7 digit phone number by 8, and write down the result.
  4. Now you have a lot of individual digits written down.
  5. Add up the sum of all these digits, and you will obtain a new number.
  6. If the new number contains more than one digit, then add up the digits of the new number.
  7. Keep doing this until you have a one digit number.
  8. When you have one digit left, add the number one (1).
  9. The result corresponds to D.

Step 4:

  1. Take any 21 cards out of a normal card deck.
  2. Deal three cards face up in a horizontal row. Continue dealing three cards across, overlapping the cards so that they are all visible, until you have three vertical columns of seven cards each.
  3. Look at the cards spread out like this, and choose your FAVORITE card (don't forget it!)
  4. Square up the columns one at a time (without disarranging their order) and assemble them in your hand so that the pile with your favorite card is between the other two.
  5. Deal the cards across again into three columns.
  6. Look to see where your selected card appears.
  7. As in step 4, assemble the deck with the pile that contains your selected card between the other two piles.
  8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 once more.
  9. Now, flip the deck over so that the backs of the cards are facing you (Cards should have been face up during this whole procedure).
  10. Taking from the top of the stack, flip the cards over one-by-one revealing their faces.
  11. Count the cards as you do this.  If your card is the first card you turn over, then then enter 1 into the following equation.  If your card is the 5th card you turn over, then enter 5 into the following equations etc.
  12. H = (the position of your card) - 5
  13. E = H / 3
  14. C = F = E - 2
  15. M = J - 5
