Cachen tilhører
serien ”Århus omkranset af skov” og er placeret i en af
de nye skove, som Århus Kommune har anlagt i årene 1988-2002 efter
en plan med dette navn.

Brendstrup skov er plantet 1990-1993 på
tidligere landbrugsjord. En del af arealet er holdt ubevokset
for naturlig tilgroning. Skoven er domineret af eg og bøg,
men indeholder også ask, birk, lind og lærk.
Skovbrynene består af mange forskellige træer og buske, som
efterhånden vil sprede sig ind under især egeskoven og derved skabe
større variation.
Cachen er en 0,9
liter "flip"-boks og indeholder fra start: Stashnote, FFC, SFC,
ziplock-pose med logbog, blyant og blyantspidser (må ikke byttes),
Balloner, gekko, bold, sæbebobler, perler
Cachens låg
indeholder desuden oplysninger, der kan føre til ”Den ukendte
skov”. For at kunne finde koordinaterne til denne
cache, skal du kende 5 konstanter benævnt a-e. I låget
finder du værdien af nogle af konstanterne samt navn på den eller
de caches, hvor du kan finde de resterende!

This cache belongs
to the series ”Århus omkranset af skov” (Århus
surrounded by forests)
and is placed in one of the new forests planted by Århus
Municipality in the years 1988-2002 according to a plan with this
name.
This forest is
planted 1990-1993 on former farm
land. Part of the area is kept
unplanted for natural succession. The new forest is dominated by beech and oak, but contains also
plantations of ash, birch, lime, and larch. The edges of the
wood are composed by many different species of trees and
bushes, that will spread under the
regular stands and create greater variation.
The cache lid
contains information, which could lead to
”Den ukendte skov” (The unknown forest). To find
the coordinates of this cache, you must know the value of
5 constants a-e. In the lid is written some of
the constants and names of caches, where the remaining constants could be
found.
