Geocache Description:

Isle Of Raasay (Scotland)
by Adventure Gang

This regular cache is hidden on the Isle of Raasay amid breath taking views of both Raasay and the Cuillin Hills across the water to Skye.

Raasay is reached via a 20 minute ferry ride from Sconser (N57deg 18.611' W006deg 07.493') on the Isle Of Skye via the Caledonian McBrayne ferry service which operates 7 days a week with a reduced service on sundays. (visit link)

From the car ferry, which will take you to the new Raasay ferry Pier at Churchton Bay, the cache is approximately 100m North East hidden on the Battery Mound behind the small ferry terminal building. Let the mermaids guide you! After finding the cache you can enjoy a good coffee and fine cake at Raasay House which is a short walk up the hill.

The cache is a 2 litre white tupperware box and has a theme of sea shells which are plentiful on the local beaches. Please feel free to take and leave unusual and beautiful sea shells. Enjoy the the walk and views in one of our favourite places or venture further to find the 3 other Geocaches on the island.
