An easy walk along the Stratford upon Avon canal.
The above co-ords are for parking by the aqueduct. From here climb the steps and search for the information to lead you to the cache. This is a short walk along the canal. On its own Aqueduct 1 is a quick cache and dash. The tow path can be muddy at times. This aqueduct is the longest aqueduct in England and was one of the earliest cast-iron aqueducts, being built in 1814, and carries the canal over a road, railway, river and fields. This one is unusual in that the towpath is on a level with the bottom of the iron trough rather than the lip and walkers are overtaken by boats passing at eye level. The cache is in a small tupperware like box. Stratford upon Avon is about 5 miles away by canal or by road. In which year was the aqueduct opened? ABAC. How many miles to Kings Norton? DE+5 The cache can be found at: N52°A(E-A).(B+A)EA W001°(E-A)E.BCA
