Geocache Description:

This Cache is set in The Grounds of Lusk Round Tower & Heritage Center.
Please take extreme care when rehiding the cache as the area is over looked by a number of house's



The round tower here is the only surviving relic of a monastery founded in the 6th century. Attached is a 16th century tower, and a church on the site contains a number of fine medieval tombs.

Lusk Heritage Centre comprises a round tower, a medieval belfry and a 19th century church. They form a unit, although they were built over a period of almost a thousand years. The belfry now houses an exhibition on medieval churches of North County Dublin and also the magnificent 16th century effigy tomb of Sir Christopher Barnewall and his wife Marion Sharl.
