Caching Miss Daisy Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Professor Shorthair: I guess I'll let this one go. I have not been able to contact the property owners - the contact link on their website doesn't seem to work. And another meeting with the bomb squad is not in my future plans.

It's a shame - this caches has a pretty high percentage of "favorite" ratings. But I guess nothing lasts forever. Thanks to everyone who hunted this cache.

Geocache Description:

A multi-cache in a little-known spot in a historic Atlanta neighborhood.

At these coordinates you should be standing in front of a stone entranceway. If you turn around and look across the street to the southwest, you will see the house (at 822) that was featured as Miss Daisy’s home in the movie Driving Miss Daisy.

Now face the entranceway again. There is a date on one of the columns.

The four digits of the date are TUVW.

U – V = X
X – (T + W) = Y
U – W = Z

To get to the next stage, add the two-digit number YX to the latitude and subtract VZ from the longitude.

At stage two, find CGF’s Peace number.

The final coordinates are:

33 46.7_ _
084 19.9_ _.

Subtract 29 from the Peace number for the last two digits of the latitude.
Add 34 to the Peace number for the last two digits of the longitude.

Please cover the cache well after signing.

Original contents are:

A 2005 4th Anniversary GGA geocoin
A CD by my namesake Professor Longhair
Some blank CDs
A cribbage set
Some Christmas gift tags
A wooden toy car
Some stickers for the kiddos
Dustbuster TB

Parking is legal on the major street right around the first stage – other parts of the street are marked no parking. The little loop road is marked no parking, but I have seen people parked there – you’re probably okay for a little while, but park there at your own risk.

Thanks to the Lullwater Garden Club for permission to place this cache. Please be respectful of this property. You don’t have to leave the trail until the final, which is about eight feet off the path. And please practice CITO.

Congrats on FTF: mydoll (& JMTBuzz)
