ACHTUNG: Die Headerkooordinaten geben nur den Großraum
(50km-Umkreis) an und sind sonst frei erfundene Zahlen, die mit dem
Cache keinen Zusammenhang haben.
Um den Cache zu finden, wirst du - den Stages entsprechend -
versuchen, vom Großen ins Kleine vorzudringen, um schlussendlich
den ganz Kleinen, also den Micro-Man, zu finden. Gleichzeitig wird
bei jeder Stage eine sg. "Koordinatenkontrolle" angeboten, mit der
du zwischendurch dein Ergebnis auf Plausibilität prüfen und
schrittweise auch die genauen Cachekoordinaten ermitteln kannst.
(Ausgegangen wird von N=48° und E=15°) Die Umwandlung von
Buchstaben in Zahlen geschieht grundsätzlich nach dem üblichen
Schema (A=1, B=2, etc.), was im Text dann nicht mehr explizit
erwähnt wird.
Das Versteck selbst ist wintersicher, ein Parkplatz in
unmittelbarer Nähe sorgt für rasche "Erledigung", allerdings müssen
einige Stufen überwunden werden, wie aus der Beschreibung von Stage
4 schon hervorgeht. Mehr soll nicht verraten werden, da das Rätsel
sonst viel zu leicht wird.
Stage 1: Die Region
Beginnen wir mit der Region - diese ist in vielerlei Hinsicht
bekannt. Auch wurde dort Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts ein
bedeutsamer prähistorischer Fund (nennen wir ihn "A") gemacht, den
ihr heute im naturhistorischen Museum in Wien bestaunen könnt. Um
die Suche danach leichter zu gestalten, sei auch noch gesagt, dass
dieser Fund nicht allzu groß ist und aus Kalkstein besteht. Das
müsste dann auch schon reichen. Jetzt sollte die Suche nach unserer
Region eigentlich kein Problem mehr sein.
Koordinatenkontrolle:
N=48° _ _ . _ _ _
E=15° _ _ . _ _ _
Wandle den 2. und 5. Buchstaben in Zahlen um. Die Summe ergibt die
Zehnerstelle der N-Minuten. Wandle den 3. Buchstaben der Region in
eine Zahl um. Das liefert dir die Zehnerstelle der E-Minuten.
Stage 2: Die Stadt
Aber um weiter ins Detail zu gehen, kommen wir zu einem Hinweis
für die Stadt, in der sich unser Cache befindet. Ein ähnliches
Stück wie das oben beschriebene ("A") wurde bei der Freilegung
eines Wohnplatzes altsteinzeitlicher Jäger in mehrere Stücke
zerbrochen vorgefunden. Der Fundort, so viel sei verraten, ist
nicht die gesuchte Stadt, aber unser gesuchtes Stück (nennen wir es
"B") ist heute in einem Museum ebendort ausgestellt.
ACHTUNG: Jüngste Recherchen haben ergeben, dass das ORIGINAL
dieses Fundstückes in einer anderen Stadt ausgestellt bzw. verwahrt
ist. Das in der gesuchten Stadt ausgestellte Stück muss also eine
Kopie sein. Ein Ausscheiden der falschen Stadt geht aber ohnehin
aus der Region von Stage 1 eindeutig hervor.
Koordinatenkontrolle:
Wandle den 3. Buchstaben der Stadt in eine Zahl um, ziehe 1 ab und
du hast die Einerstelle der N-Minuten. Wandle den 2. Buchstaben der
Stadt in eine Zahl um, dividiere es durch 2 und du hast die
Einerstelle der E-Minuten.
Stage 3: Der Gebäudekomplex
So, jetzt wisst ihr also auch in welcher Stadt ihr suchen müsst,
aber noch nicht genau, bei welchem Gebäude. Dafür müsst ihr euch
wieder an unseren ersten prähistorischen Fund ("A") erinnern. Er
war auch Teil eines anderen, historisch nicht ganz so interessanten
"Ereignisses". Dieses liegt allerdings noch nicht so lange zurück
und hat etwas mit 25.000 Jahre Kultur und Naturgeschichte
Niederösterreichs zu tun. Dieses "Ereignis" könntest du rein
theoretisch an zwei verschiedenen Plätzen in unserer Stadt finden.
Nimm den größeren und du bist schon da.
Koordinatenkontrolle:
Wandle den 2. Buchstaben dieses Gebäudes (oder dieser Gebäudeart)
in eine Zahl um. Die Quadratwurzel daraus liefert dir die
Zehntelstelle der N-Minuten. Wandle den 2. Buchstaben in eine Zahl
um, ziehe 1 davon ab und du hast die Zehntelstelle der
E-Minuten.
Stage 4: Der Cache
Nun wollen wir dich noch zum Versteck führen: Wie viele cm unter
der Erdoberfläche wurde unser erstes Fundstück "A" gefunden? Nimm
dieses Ergebnis und addiere dessen Quadratwurzel dazu, um die
Anzahl der Stufen bis zum Cache zu errechnen.
Koordinatenkontrolle:
Nimm die Quadratwurzel vom cm-Wert, multipliziere ihn mit 17 und
addiere 1. Das liefert dir die restlichen 2 Stellen (Hundertstel
und Tausendstel) der N-Minuten. Nimm den cm-Wert, subtrahiere 25
und du hast die fehlenden 2 Stellen der E-Minuten.
Der Cache besteht aus einer 35mm-Filmdose mit folgendem
Inhalt:
- Logbuch (bitte nicht entfernen)
- Bleistift (bitte nicht entfernen)
Da es ein Micro ist und das Logbuch schon viel Platz benötigt,
bitte keine Tauschgegenstände reingeben.

ATTENTION: The Header Coordinates just represent the area (50km
circumcircle). Further they are entirely fictitious and have no
connection with the Cache.
To find the Cache you will - according to the stages - progress
from the large to the smaller and conclude at the smallest - the
Micro-Man. Simultaneously at each stage there is given a
coordinate-check. (Starting from N=48° and E=15°) This is to prove
the plausibility of your result. The transformation from letters to
numbers works with the well known schema (A=1, B=2, etc.) and will
not be explained in the text any more.
The hiding place itself is snow-proof and a parking place nearby
ensures a quick completion, though there are some steps to be
mastered as you will notice while reading the discription of stage
4. More information should not be given away, otherwise the riddle
would get much to easy.
Stage 1: The Region
Let´s start with the region, which is very well known in many
respects. As well there was made a very important prehistoric
finding (let´s call it "A") at the beginning of the last century,
which is nowardays exhibited in the natural historic museum of
Vienna. To make the riddle a bit easier, notice that this finding
is not really big and consists of limestone. This must be enough
information - now the region should be no problem to you.

E=15° _ _ . _ _ _
Transform the 2nd and 5th letter of the region into numbers. The
sum will give you the ten´s place of the N-Minutes. Transform the
3rd letter and you´ll get the ten´s place of the E-Minutes.
Stage 2: The City
To proceed further on to the
detail here is the information about the city of the
Cache-Locateion. A similar sample to the above described ("A") was
found during the uncovering of a habitation of Paleolithic hunters
which was broken into several single pieces. The place of the
finding is not the asked city but the finding (let´s call it "B")
is exhibited there today.
ATTENTION: Last investigations brought the information that the
ORIGINAL of this sample is exhibited or kept save in another city.
Therefore the sample which is exhibited in the searched city must
be a copy. Anyway - the elimination of the wrong city can be done
easyly by knowing the region of Stage 1.
Coordinate-Check:
Transform the 3rd letter of the city into a number, subtract 1 and
you get the unit place of the N-Minutes. Transform the 2nd letter
into a number, divide it into 2 and you get the unit place of the
E-Minutes.
Stage 3: The Building
Well - now you know the city, but not exactly the buildung.
Therefore you have to remember the first prehistoric finding ("A").
It was as well part of another, historic not so important "event",
which is not so very long ago and s related with 25.000 years
culture and history of Lower Austria. Theoretically this "Event"
could take place at two different locations in our city. Take the
bigger location and you got it.
Coordinate-Check:
Transform the 2nd letter of this building (Kind of Building) into
a number. The square rout of this number gives you the decile rank
of the N-Minutes. Transform the 2nd letter into a number, subtract
1 and you get the decile rank of the E-Minutes.
Stage 4: The Cache
Now it´s time for the
hiding place: How many Centimeters above the surface of the earth
was the first finding ("A") found? Take the result and add it´s
square root - this is the number of steps you have to master to
reach the cache.
Coordinate-Check:
Take the square root of the cm-value, multiply it by 17 and add 1.
This gives you the missing two digits (hundredth and thousandth) of
the N-Minutes. Take the cm-value, subtract 25 and you get the 2
missing digits for the E-Minutes.
The Cache consists of a 35mm-film-canister with the following
content::
- Logbook (please don´t remove)
- Pencil (please don´t remove)
As the logbook needs a lot of space inside the film box please
don´t trade anything.
