Book swap cache. Books and Travel Bugs only, please! Digital or
recorded books are OK. Please take books. There are lots.
This less-frequently travelled area feels remote, but isn't far
from at least 3 logical parking areas. The big-leaf maples in the
area are truly impressive and will hinder your satellite
connections much of the year. Cache GC9DBF (Triplin' the Rock
Fantastic) is nearby so this could be an art-appreciation two-fer.
{And as of 8.06, an art-appreciation 3-fer due to the placement of
GCXETB (Bellingham Music Cache). This cache is for trading books
and travel bugs. I have stocked it well with material for readers
of all ages. Ideally, I'd love to see cachers return whenever they
have a book or two to trade in. Please list the title and author of
the book/s you leave. A short review would be GREATLY appreciated.
Take books! There are LOTS! Being a book lover, I have taken extra,
extra precautions against water with this cache. Books are tucked
into quart and gallon sized ziplocks which are inside a huge
ziplock which is inside a camoflaged cooler which is then covered
with a bit of tarp before the final lid is put on. There is an
umbrella in there as well, so you can browse in the rain without
doing damage. There are extra ziplocks, including a spare huge one
if it ever needs changing out. There are also a handful of
dessicant packets in the supply bag. Toss one in with the books you
leave. I will check this cache often, but water damage should be
minimal if cachers take care.
