Geocache Description:

Chelsea and her half-brother, Purr, are cat geniuses (see Purr's adventures at GCR2F3). Chelsea shows off her talents by painting the code that leads to the first stop of a 3-stage multi.

Chelsea has chosen to guide geocachers on a slightly different type of adventure. The coordinates listed above are for the trailhead. Chelsea has created a picture that will yield directions to the first stop. She took special care to make sure that geocachers will see some picturesque sights along the way. There is a variety of flora, and hopefully some fauna, along with a bit of splendid architecture. Take the loop trail that will guide you through the woods, onto the roadway, and then back into the woods at a different trailhead. (This new trailhead is clearly marked with a large sign and is just 4 houses from the corner.) There is no need to ever cross private property. Since the trail comes so close to private residences please do not take it after dark. To get started on your hike you must read about Chelsea LaGuerre and then follow her directions:

Chelsea LaGuerre's
Painted Toes

CChelsea LaGuerre is the half-sister of Purr LaGuerre (GCR2F3). Seems their mother had a penchant for carousing with the neighborhood studs and she produced two contrasting offspring. While Purr has a highly developed analytical mind, Chelsea is an artsy, right-brained, type who prefers music and creative ventures. Even her soft, flowing coat is composed of muted tones that reflect her delicate personality. She, like Purr, possesses the same highly developed skill of speaking to humans. Unlike Purr, however, she prefers to communicate through more aesthetic means.

Chelsea lives with Wendy and Tom around the corner from the Oak Hill Trail. One afternoon as Wendy, passed through the living room she encountered Chelsea nose to nose with Purr. Chelsea's lengthy coat was standing on end as if a bolt of lightning had just hit her. Her tail was puffed up like a feather duster. Her soft green eyes were now flashing at Purr. "You think the Unigram puzzle was so clever that you should be the alpha cat around here," she sputtered. Clearly, Chelsea was not her usual laid back self on this day.

She continued to rant, "Just watch the puzzle I can create without resorting to fancy number manipulations. I'll use another form of digits and call my work, Chelsea LaGuerre's Painted Toes. It will be just as well received by the geocaching community as Purr LaGuerre Considers Unigrams. "

With that, she strutted out and made a square turn into the art studio. She knew she would never be alpha cat, but she wasn’t going to let Purr know she accepted her fate.

Chelsea washed her foot, proper etiquette for a cat who is about to do some paw painting. All four toes of her left, painting foot, were delicately swished around in the water bowl. That behavior always annoyed Purr who likes to drink his water without added household debris.

Chelsea was ready to create. First she slipped the lanyard of her iPod nano around her neck and then she placed the earbuds. Inspired by the grace of Mozart, she began to paint daintily. She dipped her paw pads in each of the four colored inks in a different sequence each time she made a print. Chelsea emerged from the room several hours later after completing her masterpiece.

Can you discern where Chelsea has chosen for geocachers to go to find the first stop of the multi? A chart has been offered to help you decipher her artistic code.

Note: All seven of the cats wanted to be close to each other so we placed Purr LaGuerre, Chelsea LaGuerre, Emily LaGuerre Too, Charlotte LaGuerre, Boo LaGuerre, Ghost LaGuerre, and Goblin LaGuerre in the same town and not too far from each other.
