Geocache Description:

This is a four stage multi-cache. The fourth stage is the actual cache. The listed coordinates are for the first stage.

The coordinates listed above are for the first stage. There is a large parking lot nearby that has lots of free parking, at least when the Legislature is not in session. The total walking involved should be less than 1/2 mile.

The second stage is at N 44 18.3X5, W 69 46.9Y8, where X = the year of Samantha's letter minus 1978, and Y = the year of Samantha's letter - 1982

The third stage is at N 44 18.3X4, W 69 46.5Y2, where X = 1879 minus the year of Deputy Granville Hayden's death, and Y = 1879 minus the year of Deputy Hayden's death

The fourth and final step (the actual cache) is at N 44 18.3X4, W 69 46.5Y1, where X = Governor Lincoln's age minus 37, and Y = Governor Lincoln's age minus 32.

The cache is a medium-sized ammo box with lots of good trade items for kids. My five-year old son, Emmet, helped pick things out (and helped find the hiding spot). It also has a log book and camera. Please take a picture or two of yourself!

Hope you enjoy this cache -- it's our first one!
