Nejvyssi hora Ceske republiky (1602 m.n.m.) se nachazi ve vychodni
casti Krkonos na Hranicnim hrebenu. Diky sve vysce poskytuje jeji
vrchol neomzeny panoramaticky vyhled do daleke krajiny Ceske
Republiky a Polska. Na vrcholu hory bylo postaveno nekolik staveb.
Roku 1868 zde vznikla tzv. Ceska bouda. V soucasné dobe je
vsak ve vystavbe nova budova, protoze puvodni byla jiz ve
zchatralem stavu. Moderni Polska bouda stoji dnes na miste puvodni
Slezske boudy. Na vrcholu se nachazi tez 14 m vysoká kaple
Sv. Vavrince naposledy prestavena v polovine 19. stoleti. Na Snezce
je tez nejvyse polozena postovna v Ceske republice. Na vrchol
Snezky vede sedackova lanovka (info o provozu lanovky na
www.snezkalanovka.cz). Na Snezku se pochopitelne muze dojit z vice
smeru napr. z Pece Obrim dolem, z Pomeznich bud (Horni Mala Upa),
pres Lucni boudu apod. Vzdalenost ke cache je dana mistem odkud
vychazite. Tato cache není dostupna autem a není
vhodna pro detske kocarky apod. Nicmene není za potrebi
zvlastniho vybaveni. Hodi se zakladni turisticke vybaveni do hor
(pevne boty, vhodne obleceni, voda, apod.) Cache je umistena na
vrcholu Snezky, pobliz hranicni cary na pomerne turisticky rusnem
miste. Z tohoto duvodu doporucujeme byt pri vyzvednuti cache
zvlaste opatrni. The highest mountain of Czech republic (1602 m) is
found in the east part of Giant mountains in Hranicní ridge.
Thanks its high the top of Snežka offers the unlimited
panoramic view to landscape of Czech republic and Poland.Through
its top goes the state border between Czech republic and Poland. On
the top of mountain have been built several buidings. In the year
1868 the Czech chalet was built there, but today a new chalet is
under building-up, because the old one was not in a good condition.
Modern Polish chalet stays at the place of former Slezská
chalet. On the top of Snežka there is also 14 m heigh chapel
of St. Vavrinec from the half of 19th century and the highest
situated post-office in the Czech republic. The funicular from the
Pec pod Snezkou goes to the top of mountain (info about funicular
time table on www.snezkalanovka.cz). Of course you can reach Snezka
from several directions for example from the Pec pod Snezkou
through the Obri dul, from Pomezni boudy (Horni Mala Upa), accross
Lucni bouda etc. The distance to the cache depends on the place you
depart from. No special equipment is needed. It is reasonable to
have the basic tourist equipment to the mountains (suitable boots,
clothing, water, etc.) Cache is located on the top of Snezka, close
to the state border on quite a busy place. Therefore we recomend to
be really careful when seeking the cache.
