Geocache Description:

No Name Road is a serious 4x4 track, rated as requiring 3 4x4s (to tow one-another out of difficuilty) in the book "4wd South Island - Vol 2" (see pg 130 for the directions for 4x4ing this track).

I set this cache by mountain bike, but it could just as easily be done by 4x4, trail bike, or on foot.

There are several ways to approach the cache location.
I approached it from Rutherglen Road (near Greymouth) and started biking from S42.34.333 E171.13.632 (take the old and disused looking track). Most 4x4s (and sturdy 2WDs) will handle the first part of the track from here.

Those with standard "street" 4x4s should park at S42.35.561 E171.14.693 and start walking or biking as the road is a bit more serious from here.

The terrain rating for this cache (5) refers to the road, which is a serious 4x4, trail bike or moutain bike track (ie requires specialised equipment). Otherwise the cache would be rated terrain 2.

The cache is a small container.
Original contents;
Notebook, pencil and travel bug.
