The battery in my hidden clock could be dead, please email me before attempting this cache for approximate time of the chime and actual coordinates.

This GeoCache is located near the beautiful Clinton Marina on Clinton Lake near Lawrence, Kansas. I used to Co-Manage the marina and thoroughly enjoy the quaintness and natural beauty of our little hidaway! This cache does not require you visit the actual marina store.

I wanted to make a GeoCache that was a little different from all the rest, this is my attempt. First off, you will need to visit the following website in order to synchronize your watch to the Official United States Time, rendered by the all amazing Atomic clock!

Note: It is very important that you set you watch preciously to the atomic clock time!

Next, proceed to the waypoint coordinates for this cache and enjoy the view as you wait for a sign! There is a picnic table at this location, sit and relax, or walk around, but do not stray too far. I have hidden a clock at this location, with an hourly chime that will ring within the hour. When the chime rings, look at your watch set to atomic time, and note the exact minute of the hour. This minute will be used in the following list to determine the correct coordinates to the actual cache location!

Now that you have determined where the minute falls in the list above, you will be able to go after the actual cache! Due North of your current location is a wide path into the woods. This path will bisect two smaller paths. Please use these paths until within 100 feet of the cache location, then you will need to bushwack!

I no longer work for the marina, so you probably won't find much help by asking anyone associated with the marina, although I do know a lot of folks down there.

As all Kansas State Parks, there is a fee per car to drive into the park. You can buy daily passes or annuals permits.
