Visit Bellingham's marina. Bring a kid, a few bucks (ADMISSION!) and maybe a kite or two.
The posted coordinates are just outside the entrance to one of Bellingham’s lesser-known treasures. ADMISSION is $1.00 per adult, $.50 per kid. While volunteers aren't always present, please do contribute to this fine project. This waypoint is not available between dusk and 8am.
You’ll need to spend a little time here, but rest assured that the kids won’t complain while you scan the various educational posters for the info you need to proceed.
For the new coordinates (changing just the last 3 digits of each):
ELEVATION of the LOOKOUT TOWER on MT CONSTITUTION plus FINGER LIMPETS divided by PURPLE SPONGE divided by PERIWINKLES minus SEA CABBAGE equals ________________. Square the result for the new Latitude.
LEAFY HORNMOUTH SNAIL times BULL KELP divided by HERMIT CRAB plus BLUE TOP SHELL times BLACK TURBAN SNAIL equals ___________________( New longitude)
Fair weather brings muggles to the cache area, but the container is unobtrusive enough that if you settle in and enjoy the view, nobody will give you a second thought. Muggle threat is largely afloat. The cache is very well-hidden so be persistent. Close and and return it carefully, please!
