Kokopelli Travel Bug Motel (Holzkirchen) Traditional Geocache

Hallo liebe Geocacher,

im September 2005 haben wir eine wunderschöne Reise durch Alaska/USA und das Yukon Territory in Kanada gemacht und natürlich die Chance nicht ungenutzt verstreichen lassen, viele Caches dort zu heben. Wie schon so oft hat uns das Cachen auch auf dieser Reise zu traumhaften Orten geführt, die wir ohne dieses Hobby nie entdeckt hätten. Allen Versteckern dafür ein herzliches Dankeschön!

Viel Spaß beim Traden – und helft den Start-TB’s von jenseits des großen Teiches, möglichst viel von unserer guten alten Welt zu sehen ;-)

P.S.: Hier noch ein paar Tipps zur Location: Anders als bei den bisherigen Kokopellis haben wir diesmal nicht auf einen Traumplatz geachtet, sondern auf Verkehrsgünstigkeit - wie bei Motels eben so üblich ;-) Der Cache liegt nah an der A8 München - Salzburg, für durchreisende TB-Tauscher also ideal! Parken könnt ihr gut bei N 47 53.456 E 11 43.426 oder auch bei N 47 53.548 E 11 43.441, von dort aus sind es wenige Gehminuten bis zum Cache. Wenn man Richtung Norden - also Autobahnkreuz München Süd - fährt parkt man am besten einfach bei der Raststätte und dann führt bei N47 53.582 O 011 43.745 (fast direkt beim Rasthaus) ein Fußgängertunnel auf die andere Seite der Autobahn (wo der Cache liegt) und dort sind es noch ca. 50m bis zum Cache. Bitte die Dose immer wieder gut verschließen. Danke!

Dear geocachers,

In September 2005 we made a beautiful journey through Alaska/USA and the Yukon Territory in Canada and, of course, took the chance to find many caches there. As many times before, caching led us to places which we never would have discovered without this hobby. A big thank to all hiders!

We brought 11 travel bugs as prey with us which all have their origin in the U.S. or in Canada and thus enter European ground for the very first time ;-) In order to enable them to quickly travel further, we now open the Kokopelli travel bug motel, from which you can take the TBs from now on. There is only one little rule to make sure that the motel never suffers a too low “utilization”: There should be still at least 2 TBs in the box when you leave it, so that visiting the motel is also interesting for other cachers. And, of course, there is a kind of a caching etiquette saying that one should not take a hand full of TBs in one visit....

Have fun with trading – and help the TBs from the other side of the big lake to see as much as possible from our “good old world” ;-)

P.S.: Following are some hints regarding the location: Different from all other Kokopelli caches, this one is not located at a beautiful spot, but with good transport connection - just as usual for motels ;-) You can find the cache near to the A8 highway Munich - Salzburg, hence ideal for transmigratory people. Parking is good at N 47 53.456 E 11 43.426 or also at N 47 53.548 E 11 43.441, from here it is only some minutes to walk to the cache. If you are driving north you don't need to exit and can park at the rest stop. A pedestrian tunnel at N47 53.582 O 011 43.745 leads you to the other side of the highway and close to the cache.
