Härja kyrka Traditional Geocache

Endast tornet är kvar sedan kyrkan byggdes på 1100-talet. Långhuset är ombyggt med det gamla byggnadsmaterialet, antagligen 1767.  Kyrkan har en del säregna stenreliefmotiv, ganska lika de som finns i Forshems kyrka. Liknande arbeten lär man annars som närmast hitta i södra Italien.
Troligt är att det för 850 år sedan fanns en rik och förnäm person som anställde konstnärer från kontinenten för att smycka sin kyrka, och denne mäktige man menar man mycket väl kan ha varit innehavaren av Ettaks kungsgård

Cachen är en ca 2 dl halvgenomskinlig plastburk.

Only the tower remains in this 12th century church at Härja. The nave has been almost completely rebuilt about year 1767, using the stones from the original church. The most remarkable detail of the church is the remains of a richly decorated Romanesque doorway. Similar stone work is nearest found I the south if Italy and in the church of Forshem.
Probable a wealthy and famous man in the area employed Mediterranean workers 850 years ago for the adornment of the church. This man could bee the owner of State demesne Ättak.
