Geocache Description:


This is a magnetic Altoids container hidden near the shore of the Massapequa Reservoir in the Massapequa Preserve. This reservoir, which was once used as a water source for New York City, is now home to many different species of fresh-water fish such as; largemouth bass, bluegill, catfish, and carp, just to name a few.

Parking can be found at many places with access to the bike path throughout the preserve but the closest parking is at these coordinates: N40° 40.621 W073° 27.799 It's a small lot off of Sunrise Highway adjacent to what was once a pumping station for the reservoir.

The cache contains only a log book and a small pencil.
