Här bodde båtsmannen Olaus Jonsson Staby f 1826 och
hans hustru Kajsa Lena f 1824 samt deras två söner.
Kulan var stor i förhållande till de andra kulorna i
området. Till höger innanför dörren fanns en
stor öppen spis och till vänster ett skåp.
Längs väggarna stod sängar. Ett bord och en kista
som också användes som sittplats utgjorde kulans
övriga möblemang. Sonen Per Staby övertog senare
kulan men eftersom han var en driftig karl lyckades han komma sig
upp och blev småbonde och byggde huset som ännu
står strax intill.
Gömman är en 0,3 l plastburk insvept i en
plastpåse. Den innehåller penna, loggbok och
några bytesvaror. Då GPS-mottagningen kan vara
dålig vid gömstället rekommenderar vi att
spoilerbilden används.
Here lived the boatswain Olaus Jonsson Staby borne 1826 and his
wife Kajsa Lena borne 1824 together with their two sons. The den
was big compared to the other dens in the area. Inside the door to
the right there was a big fire place and to the left a closet.
Along side the walls there were beds. A table and a chest which
also was used as a seat was the only furniture, except the beds.
Later the son Per Staby took over the den but when he was very
enterprising man he succeeded to become a small farmer and he built
the rather nearby house which is till there.
The cache is a 0.3 l plastic box wrapped in a plastic bag,
containing a pencil and a logbook and some trading items. When the
GPS-reception can be bad at the hiding place we recommend using the
spoiler picture.
