Geocache Description:

Located in McCoy Field Park. Terrain may be wet and squishy. Recommend that you do this in the dry season or with boots. There is mild bushwhacking. Note if you can't get the top unscrewed, you can pull the whole top assembly off.

The original State of Mind series of caches has been archived since 10/31/2004. We decided to place this cache in rememberance of that great series. New cachers who may not be aware of the series can get a taste of what it was like. For the many other cachers who hunted some or all of the series, hope this brings back some memories.

State of Mind, often referred to as SOM, was a 51 cache series located in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, with one cache for each state, plus Washington D.C. Every SOM page read: "These Caches are placed in memory of every person serving presently or in the past in our Armed Forces. Each container is a PVC tube approximately 2 1/2" x 6" ".

This cache is similar to the series in many ways (but with one big exception, which we think you'll figure out when you get there). Read the first page of the log book in the cache to learn more about this series.

The location for this cache has special meaning to us. It is in the same park as SOM - North Carolina which was our first Wisconsin cache, fourth find overall, and our first SOM. We thought it was fitting for a memorial to the series. Thank you Socko for placing the original series. We hope everyone enjoyed finding them as much as we did.
