We didn't get to honor the great one on her kilo achievment because she had already made plans. But, we were not about to let this one pass by without the recognition a person deserves when they have made such huge contributions to the game we play. We have all spent lots of time hiking over the years, but few have been as memorable as the ones that had Campy in the mix. Who else could broaden our knowledge on our local plants and flowers like Campy? Who else has such a positive outlook on everything that happens? And while many have made some really crafty hides, no one has had such great themes that they elevated a normal cache to a great cache. It has been a privilege and an honor to not only know her, but to spend enough time to really get to know her. Our lives have been made better just by her being in them. Carolyn, we love you so much. Please except this small token as our way of saying, thanks! Fondly, The Conejo Cachers. Now on to the cache! There is good news and bad news. The bad news is, (for some) it is pretty much up hill the whole way. The good news is, it's pretty much downhill the whole way back! Since only eight people have visited the cache closest to this one in the last year, we don't expect alot of traffic here. So expect to find the trail, but expect it to be overgrown in a lot of places for the last quarter mile or so. Everything in here is for Campy, so after she raids it, please only bring things that remind you of her. Reception is minimal at best near the cache site so take the picture. Six miles RT is along way to go to find out you can't get a reading. While we LOVE to hike at night, we don't recommend trying this one at night. Have fun and be safe!
