Geocache Description:

SK:

EN:
Banska Stiavnica is one of the most strikingly beautiful and historically interesting towns in Slovakia. The glorious history of Banská Štiavnica started (latest) with the year 1238 when it was bestowed the privileges of a royal town. The Stiavnicke vrchy mountainsoffer a network of walking routes leading through areas full of historical remnants (mining tunels and surface mining areas) but, first of all, with marvellous flora and fauna. Well, officially it may not be one of the seven wonders of the world, but it continues to attract visitors all-year-round - therefore in December 1993 Banska Stiavnica was inscribed on the List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage of UNESCO.

The coordinates will lead you to the cache, which is placed in a stone yard below a dominant hilltop with a cross guarding the town from Nord-West.
