[GER] Das eigentlich
beschauliche Örtchen Wacken befindet sich seit einigen Jahren in
der Zeit von Ende Juli bis Mitte August im Ausnahmezustand! Über
Nacht vervielfacht sich dabei die Einwohnerzahl und langhaarige,
schwarzgekleidete und laut Musik hörende Metalheadz sind in fast
jedem Winkel des Ortes zu finden. Grund ist das mittlerweile von
den USA bis Japan bekannte WACKEN OPEN AIR. Die Besucher dieses
kurz W:O:A genannten Festivals sind aber trotz ihres Aussehens
friedliche Zeitgenossen und kommen hauptsächlich zum feiern, und
das tun sie auch ;-)
Der Cache kann das ganze Jahr über gehoben werden, am
interessantesten ist jedoch zweifellos ein Besuch in der Zeit des
Festivals, also meist Anfang August. Man muss einfach mal gesehen
haben wie all die Head-Banger die Ortschaft bevölkern! Aber auch
sonst lohnt ein Besuch des Caches, die Strecke beträgt etwas über
1km. Der Startinhalt besteht zum Großteil aus interessanten Fotos
rund ums Festival. In der Nähe des Startpunktes findet sich
hoffentlich auch in der Festivalzeit nutzbare Parkmöglichkeit,
ansonsten könnt ihr bei den angegebenen Koordinaten in einer
Sackgasse parken. Zur Kontrolle sind die Quersummen der Ergebnisse
angegeben, z.B. Q[38]=2.
Kleiner Hinweis am Rande: eigentlich sollte der Cache mehr Fragen
und Stationen umfassen, aber da die Strecke zu lange wurde und es
während des Festivals zu Problemen durch gesperrte Straßen kommen
kann habe ich es auf die innere Ortschaft beschränkt.
[ENG] In normal times wacken is a small village, but every year
at the end of july wacken is in state of emergency and the
poluation grows heavily up! Almost over night you can hear loud
music almost everywhere and see many longhair, blackdressed men!
This is because of the from the USA up to Japan well-known WACKEN
OPEN AIR. Althought the visitors of the W:O:A doesn't look very
friendly the are realy harmless and just want to celebrate a big
party ;-)
Of course it's most interesting to reach the cache in the time of
the festival from end of July to mid of august, to see all these
head-bangers all around in the town! But of course you can visit
the cache at all time, the distance is around 1km. The checksum Q[]
is located after each result. If you have troubles finding a
parking place try the following coordinates in a dead end street.
The start-content consists at most of interesting pictures from the
W:O:A. Little note to the cache: I had planed a bigger route for
the cache, but the distance had been to long a some streets are
closed in the time of the festival, so I took just the inner
village for the route.

meistens geht es hier aber ruhig zu. Wieviele Bäume spenden entlang
der Allee dem Gutsherrn Schatten im Sommer?

[GER] Willkommen beim grössten Gebäude in Wacken! Wer genau
wissen will wann es gebaut wurde, sollte sich die Eingangstür mal
genauer ansehen. Wie hoch der Turm ist weiß allerdings niemand so
genau, jedenfalls hat die Kupferkuppel schon so manchen Blitz
abbekommen. Aber jetzt zur Frage: Ein Mann namens Thomas Thomählen
hat etwas wichtiges für das Gebäude getan, ich möchte aber nicht
wissen was, sondern in welche Hausnummer er wohnt. Kleiner Tipp:
der Postbote kann euch kaum weiterhelfen, ihr müsst schon selbst
dahinterkommen. Wenn ihr es herausgefunden habt wird es vermutlich
ein Leichtes für euch sein auch das Baujahr der ehemaligen alten
Schmiede an der Hauptstrasse zu entdecken, auch wenn sie nicht mehr
unbedingt danach aussieht. Ach ja, falls ihr jetzt am ersten oder
zweiten Festivaltag zufällig eine Gruppe in der Nähe an der Straße
grillen seht solltet ihr sie ruhig mal ansprechen, könnte ja sein
das noch ein Geocacher dabei ist :-)

know how old it is you should have a look a the entrancedoor.
Nobody knows exactly how high the tower is, but many lightning have
hit the copper-dome in the years. But now the question: a man named
Thomas Thomählen had done something important for the buidling. I
don't want to know what he has done but in witch housenumber of the
Preetzer Street he lifes. Little hint: the postman can't help you
much. If you found out it will be easy for you to find the year of
building of the old blacksmith nearby at the mainstreet, although
it doesn't look like nowadays. By the way, if you see at the first
or secound day of the WOA a group making a barbecue at the street
near the old blacksmith just talk to them, possible there is
another geocacher :-)

[GER] Nachdem ihr entweder eine ruhigen Spaziergang hattet oder
aber euch durch jede Menge Metaller bewegt habt geht es jetzt zu
diesem Platz. In welchem Jahr wurde hier der kleine (und nicht sehr
schöne) Prinz von Wacken aufgestellt? Da nebenan das Amt ist eine
kleine Schätzfrage: wieviele Einwohner hat Wacken etwa
normalerweise ohne all die Metalheadz? Kleiner Tipp, es sind
deutlich weniger als die ca. 40.000 Besucher des Festivals, aber
mehr als die etwa 500 Besucher des allerersten Wacken Open Airs im
Jahr 1989. Die gerundeten Jahrezahlen des gastlichen Hauses sind
auch ein guter Wert.

in which year has the statue been placed? Can you estimate how many
people life in wacken without the Metalheadz? Little hint, the
nummer is between the todays 40000 visitors and the around 500
visitors of the festival in 1989. If you have no idea, have a look
at the three years of the "old post" not so far away and round the
worth.

[GER] Mit den Ergebnissen der vorhergehenden Fragen könnt ihr
leicht die Koordinaten des Caches berechnen. Von hier aus kann man
u.a. den Getreideturm vorm dem Festivalgelände sehen als auch die
alte Eisenbahnbrücke über den Nord-Ostseekanal. Bitte nehmt immer
nur eine Karte pro Person mit und lasst die letzte Karte eines
Motives im Cache, damit andere auch noch etwas zum tauschen und
anschauen haben. Wer jetzt noch keinen rechten Eindruck vom dem hat
was sich in Wacken so abspielt sollte einfach zum Festivalgelände
gehen oder http://gallery.wacken.com/ besuchen.

calculate easily the coordinates of the cache. From here you have a
look to the grain tower in front of the festival-area and also to
the old railway-bridge over the kiel-canal. Please take just one
card per person an let the last card of a set in the cache, so that
followers also have something to see and exchange.
