Dies ist der erste Cache im Gasteinertal. Der Cache liegt in 1755m Höhe direkt an einem Wanderweg. Das Terrainrating vom Startpunkt Talstation aus definiert. Die Wanderung zum Cache und zurück beträgt mehrere Stunden. Bitte genügend Wasser mitnehmen.
Winter/Skifahrer: (Terrainrating: 2)
Am besten über N47°09.408, E13°04.310 über einen legal zu befahrenen Weg (der jedoch nicht allzu oft benutzt wird) zu erreichen. Lawinengefahr besteht dort nicht. Man kommt vom Zielgebiet auch wieder problemlos zurück. Das Zielobjekt kann ziemlich zugeschneit sein, die Cacheposition ist aber geschützt (vgl. bei Bedarf die beiden Spoilerbilder). Der Cache sollte selbst bei viel Schnee ohne große Probleme zu heben sein.
Sommer/Wanderer:
Man kann etwas an die Location "heranfahren". (Terrainrating ist dann 2). Aber auch von dort ist man noch gut unterwegs - also etwas Zeit mitbringen. Nach dem Heben des Caches kann man sich an der nahegelegenen Hütte stärken und die Aussicht geniessen.
Der Schatz beinhaltet ein kleines Logbuch sowie einen kleinen Bleistift.
This is the first cache in Gasteinertal. The altitude of the cache is 1755m. The terrain rating is for hikers who start from the valley. Please allow several hours to get to the cache and back. Don't forget to bring water.
Winter/Skiers (Terrain rating:2):
Follow the path from N47°09.408, E13°04.310 to the location. At the path there will be almost never any traffic. There is no danger of avalances and you will have no problem getting back to the lifts (a few hundret meters of horizontal ski walking). There can be a lot of snow but there is no digging necessary to get the cache. It is protected by the stone which creats a small "cave" even when the snow is high (compare the two spoiler pics).
Summer/Walkers:
There is a possibility to get a little closer to the location. Terrain rating is then 2. From there it is quite a walk which will take some time. After you found the cache you can rest at the nearby Hütte and enjoy the view over Bad Hofgastein.
The cache contains a small logbook and a pencil.
