This cache is located along the north shore of Waldo Lake, at the site of the 1996 fire. We encourage you to approach the cache by water, beach your watercraft when coordinates are close, and marvel at the recovering landscape enroute to the cache. Cache is in ammo can, and sits at 5,467 feet. Don't forget to go for a dip in the clear brisk waters of Port Waldo before you leave!
This cache is part of a continuing series we've created to encourage folks to enjoy Central Oregon bodies of water. If possible, please help us keep with our theme by placing aquatic related items in the cache!
The cache should contain art supplies with the log book, and a disposable camera. So get creative!
