Jim Jefferies was one of the finest heavyweights in history (early 1900's). He was undefeated in 21 professional boutsand was elected to the Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1990.
This cache marks the location of Jefferies' Barn which he used for training. After his death Walter Knott had the barn dismantled and relocated it to Knott's Berry farm where it stand today.
Jefferies house was located across the street where the Landmark Shopping Center is today.
As a young boy I remember the fun I had exploring both the house and the barn.
