Geocache Description:

WARNING - CAUTION - DANGER

The cache is on top of Silver Creek Cliff.  The access from the route I took is called by rock climbers a 4th Class Access.  That means that there is a real possibility that you can get injured if you slip and fall.  There would be no shame for a climber to choose to gear up and protect the climb.  There are safer access routes.  I would suggest climbing the skree field on the Two Harbors end of the Silver Creek Cliff path.  However, that is also a very rugged and difficult route.  This cache is not easily accessed.  If you choose to attempt this cache, be careful, be patient, and leave small children on the paved trail below.

Now that you have been suitably warned, on to the cache itself.  I've rock climbed here but the best climbing is in the winter when the ice forms up.  This face forms some beautiful ice well suited to Ice Climbers.  It forms everything from big slabs of ice to free hanging pillars.  All in all, a very good place to ice climb.  The cache is well above the climbing faces over the Silver Creek Tunnel.

This is a winter friendly cache, for those Ice Climbing Geocachers out there, made from a large plastic coffee can.  Oct 2011 Update:  Container is now a winter friendly  Esko SleeveCache™ Bring a camera in your back pack, you'll have some gorgeous views.
