Geocache Description:

For you, another puzzle cache by me -
Do set your brain to solve this mystery.

For those of you who've read "Da Vinci Code"
And like to read your verse iambic mode,
For when your GPS's powers died
I made a puzzle, then a cache did hide.
If you are going to find the prize, I fear
You must unravel words that follow here:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

By flower Erica and home of dove
That's lined each side with hanging trees above,
And near a road of Merovingian name
Or one of Seven Hills of Rome, the same,
There lies a field of tended grass and trees
With ponded twins that ripple in the breeze.

From seven lances tall pace forty-three,
Or twenty-eight from candelabra tree;
The fort is now but thirteen strides away.
Beside the third step up of four you stay.
Beneath remembrance herb beside a stone
You'll treasure find - be sure you are alone.

The cache is snap-locked, and 200ml'd
With logbook and the usual goodies filled.
So make your trades and log your date and name
And place it in position just the same.
Be kind enough to cover it with leaves
To keep it safe from prying eyes and thieves.
