This cache is near one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Virginia. Travelers can reach the falls from 2 different trailheads. One trailhead begins on the Blue Ridge Parkway, north of the Peaks of Otter. The other trailhead begins below the falls near Arcadia, off Interstate 81. It is a 2 mile moderate hike to the falls. From the Parkway it is an easy 1.5 mile hike down to the falls.
Don’t miss the chance to see this gem and find this cache. If you enjoy backpacking, this cache is near a small, secluded and secret campsite above the waterfall. It is big enough to set up a 4 person backpacking tent and the setting is marvelous, overlooking the valley and the falls. After enjoying the waterfall rest on the bench on the trail above the fall past the long wooden steps. Find the campsite. This cache contains things to make big and little campers happy.
