Naturområdet Svarte Mosse är ett fantastiskt fint
högområde med varierande terräng. Själva
sjön Svarte Mosse har säkert många
fågelskådare besökt i sin jakt på –x-
i fågelboken. Det finns fina rekreations och
strövområden samt gång och löparslingor
från 2 till 10 km markerade leder.
Vid Stora Vätte, i naturområdet Svarte Mosse, finns
historiska lämningar där Norges, Danmarks och Sveriges
gränser en gång möttes. Denna sten mur går
tvärs igenom hela naturområdet och minner om tider
från mitten av 1600 talet, se för övrigt

International Border. Stenmuren utgör numera gräns
mellan Västergötland och Bohuslän.
Det finns även fornlämningar som berättar om tidiga
bosättningar från medeltiden i detta området
på Hisingen (Biskopsgården), när området
bebyggdes hittades boplatslämningar från främst
bronsåldern. Jakt, fiske och senare jordbruk var de
viktigaste sysselsättningarna i området. Stadsdelen
Lundby, som ligger intill, var by redan på medeltiden och
namnet Biskopsgården kommer från ett biskopsgods som
låg i Lundby och som hette just Biskopsgården. På
bland annat denna gårdens magra utmarker grundades de nya
stadsdelarna på femtio- och sextiotalet, det finns
några enstaka torp kvar från den äldre tiden
än idag.
To find the cache:
When you reach the coordinates above you will stand on a place that
one’s was an old hill fort. There are not much left of the
stone wall but you can find some remains on the west and northwest
side of the hill. The international border between Sweden, Norway
and Denmark from the year 1658 is close to this hill fort. I
presume that they used stones from the walls of the hill fort to
build this border.
To reach the cache you have to look around standing on the spot.
You are surrounded by tress (5 -10 meters around you), several
tress of the same species. What kind of trees are there?
Is it pine trees(Swe-Tall)? Then you will find the cache at: N57

Is it juniper trees(Swe-En)? Then you will find the cache at:

Is it spruce trees(Swe-Gran)? Then you will find the cache at:
N57 43.689 E011 52.657
