Geocache Description:

This cache was originally placed by olliethecollie and has been adopted by austenscubs. Fairly close to civilisation if you just want to park and get it... Alternatively you can walk along the river which is a nice flattish 3 mile round trip.

For the intended walk, parking is available at Mells (N51 14.394 W002 23.014) - from here take the bridleway towards Great Elm. This passes by the old Fussell's Ironworks - which is where this cache was meant to be - but the tree cover makes a GPS fix near on impossible!! Head through Great Elm village, take the road bridge over the river then you'll see the signs for the footpath on your right. This leads you to the cache site.

You could also park in Great Elm, in which case the cache is a 5 min dash away.

If you park at the Mells end, when you return, why not pay a visit to the Village Cafe in Mells.
